This painting is so deep and rich.  I struggled for a name, then remembered a Native American story I once read about the world being dark.  The animals got together to try to figure out how to capture the sun.  Several tried, unsuccessfully.  One I remember was the eagle, who tried to set the sun on his head--thus "bald" eagle.  Spider Woman crafted a strong web and was able to get half the sun here.  Hence we have the sun in our days and dark at night.
