Astrid Rusquellas is a sculptor and painter who has received, among other awards, more than nine U.S.A. National First Prizes of Sculpture and a First Prize of Pastel Painting at the San Francisco Convention Center. She has been featured in the Dictionary of Argentine Artists 2001.

She has been called the sculptor of Tango because of her passionate interest and her success in capturing the movement and spirit of Tango, it's music, magic and culture.
Her art reflects her Latin-American upbringing and feelings.
