This watercolor on clay board is mounted on a frame and ready to be hung on the wall. It was given a special treatment/ finish that allows to display it without a glass and thus no glare interferes with its viewing. It represents The Delta of the Parana River at a site where it is about to become the wide estuary known as Rio de la Plata.
This part of the Delta with its picturesque buildings dating from the XIX Century, is a world in itself. All residences are only accesible by boat and are placed in thousands of islands reached every day by the bus- boats that provide iterinsular public transportation. There are also the grocery boat, the butcher boat, and other moving bussinesse that provide for the Islands. At the Train Station Tigre people can take a train that takes them to the City of Buenos Aires in 20 minutes.
My memories of summers in our boat at the rivers of Tigre, during my teen years and my twenties can not be depicted in just painting...
There is a giclee print available.
