At the Neptune Beach Amusement Museums The Lucky Ju Ju Pinball Art Gallery
Notes from the Curator: "Surrealism was the one genre which always got my attention. I find it somewhat mundane to paint something that exists when you can create something which does not. Reaching into the id and extracting a vision or concept that boggles the mind or exists in that shadowy twilight area where none dare tread. Gary has gone there, and brought back his visions from the id, for all of us to enjoy."

| This six-week workshop is appropriate for all skill levels.
The artist/instructor will teach printmaking methods to create black and white and multicolor images from a single piece of artists' grade linoleum or laminated wood. The basics of four printmaking techniques will be presented: (1) black and white linocuts as made popular by early Renaissance and Eastern printmakers; (2) white line technique as created by US Provincetown printmakers; (3) reduction method innovated by Pablo Picasso; (4) and multi-plate, multi-color techniques used by Japanese and Modern printmakers.
Students will learn the mechanics of using a printmaking press and will have created one or more completed prints by the end of the workshop sessions. The instructor/artist will provide demonstrations of image transfer and planning, registration, editing, and basic color theory.
Returning students will receive personal instruction on advanced techniques, problem correction and may use the press to create print editions.
