Villa Aurora is operated by sister German and U.S. organizations. The Los Angeles program accepts up to 16 writers, visual artists, photographers, art historians, and filmmakers from Europe annually for 3-month residencies. In Berlin, 3-month residencies are awarded each year in literature, music composition, and film to 12 young (up to 40 years old) writers and artists living and working in Germany; 2 artists working together may share one grant. Artists' Enclave at l-Park

I-Park, a 450-acre woodland retreat in East Haddam, CT, is offering residency opportunities from May through November 2011 in the following creative disciplines: Visual (including Environmental) Art, Music Composition/Sound Sculpture, Moving Image, Creative Writing and Landscape/Garden Design. Most sessions are 4-weeks in duration.
The program is offered free of charge to those accepted by the selection panels. Accommodations include comfortable private living quarters and a private studio. Six $750 travel grants will be offered to international artists whose work is held in particularly high regard by the Grant Committee.
