This painting obtained Second Prize of watercolor in May 2004 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.
I have always been fascinated by twins, alter egos, mirror images, dissociation and reflections. During periods of transition and crossroads, we always have dialogues with our own image, which is why in adolescence, people interrogate the mirror for answers that only come from within.
This watercolor on board was executed as a preliminary study of our live model for a sculpture in ceramics, at the Talking Hands group of sculptors studio.
