Very briefly, this work deals with the emotional pains that our thoughtless actions may incur on others (or others' actions may incur on us, as Eva's (Eve's) actions of the eating of the forbidden fruit in the Old Testament story caused humankind's expulsion from paradise), and one's efforts to try and rid oneself of this enduring torment.
