Earlier this year I had the pleasure of hosting a paint party for the staff members of Westlake middle school in Oakland.
We had a so much fun! Before the beginning of their year they took time for some Art Therapy. It was my pleasure to guide them through two original paintings from their first stroke to their signatures at completion. There were many masterpieces created on that day. Some of them worthy of gracing museum walls. We enjoyed delicious food which included mouth watering deserts. As the event came to an end, the staff felt calm, stress free, and well accomplished. To commemorate their achievements, everyone took their original painting home with them to adorn their homes. We had the pleasure of enjoying a beautiful sunset as we painted. The sunset inspired an atmosphere that was very conducive for creativity.
I look forward to the next opportunity to connect with my Westlake family again.
