'Mister's Black Hat' is the second piece in the HATTS series. The piece is lavishly decorated with historical elements that are represented by cut out images of men of power and stature all wearing similar hats. African Adinkra symbols distinctly float in the background to evoke the thought and presence of the ancestors. The cities represented in the piece speaks to the culture of the hat itself.
The image is painted in oil. An impasto technique was incorporated to create a sense of depth.
(Artwork is not sold with the frame)
