This is a heavy impasto acrylic painting of the thistles that grow around my studio.

I am interested in the ambivalence that most of us feel about the beauty of these flowers and plants. Because of their beautiful colors and forms , WE FEEL ATTRACTED TO THEM, but their thorns and aggresive touch , DETERS US FROM THEM.
