This painting is reminiscent of the colors I used in college when I was in love with the Impressionists. I started by painting columns: diagonally, vertically, horizonally, etc over and over. My teacher suggested I break up all the similar forms. I began introducing bigger angles and different shapes ( more circular) til the composition became more appealing to me. I love the quality of light in the painting like sun coming through a stain glass window.
