The inspiration for this painting came from wanting to pay tribute to my cat Peggy Sue of 19 yrs that passed....It evolved into a tribute to my Grandmother who passed many years ago and my childhood pet, Flapper. My face emerged behind skeleton hands which speaks to me of what's under life.
The actual painting began as an assignment to paint with a limited palette of gray tones and maybe one color (I chose ultramarine blue ). I was having a difficult time bringing my multi-colored paintings to fruition.
