This half-life size sculpture is part of a series of sculptures with the theme of the wind. Other sculptures in the series include Pampero Wind from the Pampas I-V, which depict a woman hanging clothes on a line. Pampero I obtained First Prize of Sculpture at the Convention Center of New York in May 1996. This series also includes a surrealist-inspired piece entitled Pampero IV that obtained First Prize of Sculpture in May 2002 at the Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
