My client purchased some mud cloth from Africa many years ago. She used it for several projects including a boarder around her kitchen. She had the idea of refurbishing a dinette set which belonged to her mother many years ago. Unfortunately she could not get back to Africa and find more of the exact fabric. Well, this is where I stepped in. I hand painted a bolt of fabric which had similar characteristics. Next, I painted, gold leafed and reupholstered six chairs and created a new table runner for her as well. My client was very pleased.
