Six Pears, Platinum Palladium Print on Platine Paper. Platinum and Palladium are early photographic processes. A small amount of a solution containing the metals is mixed with a light sensitive solution and applied to acid free paper. When the solution dries, a negative the size of the image is placed on the dry paper, exposed to light, processed, washed and dried. The images are archival, that is, they will last as long as the paper on which they are printed. The resulting prints have warm tones and a long tonal range.
