I used to drive past this tree every day and always admired it's distinctive shape. One day I photographed it with the intention of using the tree in a painting. I'm glad I did. By the time I started the painting, the eucalyptus had grown so tall it was cut back and no longer had the shape I had admired so much. It became the hero of this painting.
