	Are you a Painter, Printmaker, Illustrator, Graphic Designer, Mixed-Media Artist, Mosaic Artist, Sculptor or Photographer? This is your chance to showcase your artwork! We want to exhibit artwork that shows a creative passion. This exhibition will concentrate on the 'gift' of the artist; the true creative talent that clearly defines him or her as an "artist". The juror's criteria for "THE GIFT" will be based on the mastery of technique and creative use of the medium, as well as the qualities of composition, line, color, texture, and scale. This is a Juried Exhibition of artwork(s) by local San Francisco and Bay Area artists. Market Street Gallery, MesArt & GETBIZI.COM are pleased to announce THE GIFT, the first annual juried art exhibition. The exhibit will open on November 1st and run through November 30th. The opening reception to be held on Saturday, November 5th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.


	IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER
	September 30th, 2011, 5pm - Online Entry deadline. Completed entry forms and fees must be received by 5:00 PM on September 30, 2011 to be considered. Any entries submitted after the deadline will not be accepted and/or considered for the exhibition. To submit you artwork, click here NOTE: Submissions must be digital up to 6 images no larger than 1000 pixels in width, resolution: 72dpi, size: up to 1000-1500K, jpg format. October 10th, 2011, 5pm - Notification of Acceptance Images of accepted artworks will be marked on MesArt Virtual Gallery website and artists will receive a notification of acceptance by email. October 28th & 29th, 2011, 1pm - 5pm - Delivery of accepted artworks to Market Street Gallery, 1554 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94102 Artworks must arrive "ready to hang" and be presented professionally. Framed artwork must use black wood, white wood, or natural wood frame. No color mats, no glass, plexi only. November TBA - Opening Reception at Market Street Gallery, 1554 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94102 December 1st - 3rd, 2011, 1 pm - 5 pm - Pick up of unsold artwork from gallery, Market Street Gallery, 1554 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94102. If you are unable to pick up your artwork at the time slots specified, please send an email Robert [rvo.msgallery@gmail.com] to make alternative arrangements. Artwork must be picked up within 30 days after the closing date of the exhibition.
	EXHIBITION REQUIREMENTS
	All artworks must be securely wired on the back, ready for hanging. All artwork must be under 20" by 20" in size. The art & artist information needs to be on the back of each artwork [title, artist name, year, medium, size in inches, phone # & email address]. Each artwork can be priced up to $500 (upper limit). Note: Market Street Gallery reserves the right to refuse accepted artwork that is not properly prepared for hanging or differs substantially from submitted image.
	ENTRY FEE INFORMATION
	The entry fee is $25 (up to six images each entry) and $20 for MesArt artists. The fee is discounted ($20) for artists who have a MesArt Portfolio, MesArt Artist Studio, or a MesArt Artist Gallery account. This is a non-refundable entry fee & the payment will need to be submitted using PayPal or credit card.
	INSURANCE
	Although every precaution will be taken by Market Street Gallery to assure the safety and security of accepted artwork, please be aware that artwork is submitted at your own risk as Market Street Gallery does not insure individual submitted artwork against theft or damage.
	SALES
	All artworks must be for sale, please be sure that your sales price reflects the inclusion of a 40% commission taken by Market Street Gallery/MesArt upon sale of artwork. Payment for sold artwork will be paid to the artist by Market Street Gallery within 14 days of close of exhibition.
	ELIGIBILITY
	Only local San Francisco Bay Area Artist will be accepted. It is required that the artwork be dropped off and picked up in person by the artist (or a resource pre-arranged by the artist). Artwork delivered by UPS/FedEx/USPS will not be accepted. All media will be accepted, painting, printmaking, photography, illustration, mosaic, ceramic, sculpture, mixedmedia, etc.. The medium is up to the artist and if you have any questions.
