|My name is Erika McCarthy and I am contacting you as the Program Assistant for Byrdcliffe's Artist Residency Program. Our program offers space and time for creative individuals of all backgrounds and disciplines to live and work in a community. Below are details for our 2019 call for artists to apply for seasonal and monthly residencies, which we would be thrilled if you would be able to post on your website.

Description: Byrdcliffe Artist Residencies offer uninterrupted time and space for artists of all disciplines to work in a creative community on our 250-acre Catskill mountain historic campus just two hours north of NYC. Writers, musicians, and visual artists are all encouraged to apply - supported disciplines include ceramics, weaving, darkroom/digital photography, video, painting, sculpture, musical performance and composition, fiction, nonfiction, and poetry among others.
5 Month Seasonal Residencies and 1 Month Residencies are offered; Ceramic artists are able to apply for 1, 2, or 4 month residencies. .
5 Month Residents live in one of Byrdcliffe’s eight private cabins as an autonomous live/work space. Each cottage varies in its size and structure and is able to accommodate 1-2 people. Individuals, couples (minimum one working artist), and collaborative/non-collaborative artist duos are encouraged to apply. 1 Month Residencies are offered for individuals and couples with private and communal housing available. Each resident receives a private studio and living space. Application Deadline for 1 Month and Ceramic Residencies is February 10
Fellowships available based on need and merit with funding also available for women, artists of the LGBTQA community, and artists impacted by natural disasters.
