Wool Art Gallery: rugs, clothes, shoes and accessories made by felting the wool.

Wool Art is an art group comprised of three talented artists, Adel, Olga and Elfira. They all received professional education and have long careers as art instructors. Besides teaching and work in various published media, each of them has developed an art career: painting, graphics, batik, jewelry and ceramics. They were united by their passion in wool art.

Together, the artists create outstanding work designing things for life: rugs, clothes, shoes and accessories. Their goal is to join their talents and bring elegance, joy and beauty into everyday life.

Olga and Adel have started the group in 2017. Elfira has joined in the beginnig of 2018.

Adel Khaliullina

Education: Kazan Art College (1986-1990), Kazan Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of Graphic Arts (1993-1998).

Adel has been working for a long time as art instructor: she was instructing in painting, drawing, decorative arts and composition at the Kazan Childrens' Art School. She also was involved as graphic designer at Syuyumbike and Tatarstan magazines. Currently, Adel teaches design and decorative arts at Kazan's Tankodrom Children's Center.

Adel works in oil, watercolor and gouache. She loves painting landscapes and still lifes. She also works in bead jewelry embroidery, makes interior designs, and her biggest passion in felting rugs and clothes.

Olga Smirnova.

Olga graduated from Kazan State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering in 2002.

Olga is a professional clothes designer - she creates various clothes articles such as wool scarves, hats, jewelry, shoes. Between 2008 and 2014 she also worked in art restoration. In 2014 she discovered wool felting, which led to colaboration with Adel Khaliullina and forming Wool Art group.

Elfira Nigmatullina.

Elfira graduated from Kazan Art College (1979) and Kazan Pedagogical University, Faculty of Art and Graphics (1986).

For many years, Elfira has been working as art instructor at Kazan Childrens' Art School. Elfira started felting years ago with children and developed her career as independent artist. Elfira works in watercolor, acrylics and oil; she makes pastels and works on batik (painting on fabric). Since the 1990s, she has been a participant in many art exhibitions.

In 2018, Elfira joined the Wool Art group and developed her career in felting.
