Boris Gusev

Boris Gusev was born in Riga, Latvia in 1963 to the family of an ocean captain. Boris has lived in Moscow since 1983. He started his career in the Apollo Theatre in the town of Yurmala.
Boris’ works have been exhibited in USA, Finland and Yugoslavia. SPBI Company of Sweden recently purchased sixty-seven of his paintings.
In late 1991 the Teen Art Association sponsored by Rus Ltd. organized an exhibition of Boris Gusev’s work in the Kremlin Palace of Congresses. Gusev is the first artist to have his works on display in the Coat-of-Arms Hall of the Palace.
Boris Gusev’s artistic credo is a fragmentary representation of inner space interrelated with the surface of a canvas. His works evoke a broad spectrum of emotions. His art is picturesque and full of kindness and fantasy. Aside from his skill with color, it’s the philosophical aspect of Gusev’s works that attract art lovers. Gusev’s favorite painters are Leonardo, Breguel and Cezanne.
