Nikolai Indukhov was born in 1932 in Orlovsk County in Lomovoe, the place where great Russian writers Tolstoi, Turgenev and Leskov came from.
He is an aknowledged painter and honored artist of Tatarstan. In his own words, "Color and mood are the main principles of creativity for me".
In the times of soviet regime his art was persecuted, but nevertheless he exhibited in 1982, 1985 and in the year 1987 in Moscow. He frequently participates in local and international art shows. Lots of his works are abroad in private collections.
Tranquil and pensive beauty of his landscapes corresponds with the quiet charm of russian nature, that is being glorifyed by the artist for about 50 years. "Landscape for me is a celebration of my motherland, as well as the reflection of a human soul - it has thoughtfullness and remembrance, and something that cannot be told, something that only music and poetry have power to express."
