	Walks on the beach and a fascination with kelp inspire the textures found on my sculptures. Constructed, with slabs fabricated from porcelain, the shiny bronze surfaces say something about how life has really spectacular moments. Look closer to see the foreshadowing of inevitable rougher times in the crazing.

The texture of this bowl comes from kelp I gathered from California beaches. The form reminds me of the collection plates used in church. this is my offering to express thanks for the many treasures the ocean has bestowed on me. The piece is constructed with slabs of porcelain. Driftwood is attached with raffia.
