Description |

The view looking toward Mission from Third st. is now the site of the Paramount Building, a 43-story luxury residential skyscraper. This was the view in the late 90's. Across the street is the newly-built St. Regis hotel and residences. The diagonal lines are the catenary of San Francisco's famed electric MUNI buses. This was my stop (30 Stockton) when I rode the bus into downtown.
This print is from a series of hard ground etchings that originated when I worked in the Financial District of San Francisco. Most of these prints are locations that were within walking distance of my office during the lunch hour, and were found when I went out for walks around the city. Some of views of the locations have now changed due to new building construction, especially in the South-of-Market area.
This series is available in an open edition, but is limited to stock on hand, so please inquire as to availability before purchase.
