The view of the Embarcadero Center looking toward Battery St. from Building E3. At 41 floors, the stark verticality of the 4 Embarcadero buildings is hard to miss from almost anywhere in the financial district. Begun in 1968 and completed in 1983, it has been a prestige address for bankers, lawyers and corporate offices for many years. There is an observation deck in one of the towers with phenominal views on clear days.
This print is from a series of hard ground etchings that originated when I worked in the Financial District of San Francisco. Most of these prints are locations that were within walking distance of my office during the lunch hour, and were found when I went out for walks around the city. Some of views of the locations have now changed due to new building construction, especially in the South-of-Market area.
This series is available in an open edition, but is limited to stock on hand, so please inquire as to availability before purchase.
