2011 Woodcut, edition of 3: In "Diversion" I am using an antiquated image of water pumps and delivery system to allow the viewer to question our own use of water, diversion, contamination, and power. Politics is used as a "Diversion" for ulterior nefarious motives and sometimes detrimental to our environment. In "Diversion" I meant to make the connection between our language of water politics as well as the actual diversion of water that dominates the San Francisco Bay area.
