These rocks live in the Regional Park just half a mile from my house. I loved their colors. When I attended the six-day opening celebration of the Nat'l Museum of the American Indian, I was impressed that the huge rocks on the grounds were called "Grandfather Rocks". It stays with me.
This piece is a mixed media work using mostly acrylics, and a bit of pen and ink, over an underlayer of watercolor.
