In this Van Gogh portrait, I had 2 ideas in mind. One was to take the familiar self portrait of Van Gogh as a pop image, and use it to demoonstrate my style of pointalist dots and stripes. I made several Van Gogh portraits durring this time period of record auction prices where the art is no longer an object of art, but now considered a monetary investment by Wall Street speculators.
