In this woodcut, I have used a variety of hardware punches and awls, along with traditional woodcuting chisels to achieve the look of this print. I used 2 blocks to try to maximize tonal variations, and contrast. The printing process is all done by hand; the ink is applied with a brush to small areas directly on the printing plate, and it is pressed by hand using a wooden spoon. This process is slow, and can take several hours to complete one print. Each print is unique, as I never repeat the same color scheme twice.
