  Description

I planted Indian corn, the red and blue varieties, in my garden, in anticipation of a painting I wanted to do on a long narrow format. I worked on the painting, when the country was being divided into red and blue states, so I decided to combine the red and blue ears on the same cornstalk, yet picture varying degrees of redness and blueness.
