This stunningly beautiful bird is seldom completely at rest, even when perched and apparently still. He frequently vibrates the upper feathers of his back at a high rate, rendering that region of the photograph a blurry mess. I made two dozen exposures over two days before I finally made one with the feathers in that area reasonably sharp.
