Limited edition archival quality digital print. Image size 15" x 37" printed on 17" x 39" Hahnemuhle Fine Art Pearl 285 gsm paper.
This is a panoramic sunrise view of and from Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park. The immensity of the view from this location, looking down on the White Rim Trail and the canyons cut by the Colorado River beyond, is truly inspirational. I liken this location to be one of the best picture window views that I have ever experienced, framed as it is by the arch springing from the red rock cliffs below. Those same cliffs are also the source of the red tint which appears at the bottom of the arch. The name of the piece, L'Origine du Monde, may be familiar to those with a knowledge of the impressionist painter Gustave Corbet, only this reference intends to illustrate the inverted view of that rather infamous painting.
The print presented here is a singular view and is available as an unframed limited edition print. The image of the piece being viewed includes a fascimile of a framed and matted finished piece which is also available for $1000. The overal dimensions are 24" high by 46" wide. The frame is weathered wood with a 3/4" face, double archival slight cream matte, and 1/8" UV plexiglass. The print is also archivally mounted on 4 ply museum board and spray finished with multiple layers of semi-matte UV protection.
