Lonchar is part of a study of "spanglish" and its use in urban latino areas. I have tried to use the work to deal with issues of language and identity. Through the assimilation of language, people begin to "corrupt" or "create" new languages to match their lives. This is an attempt to capture what I see in family members, students, and friends,
