	Natasha Dikareva completed her sculpture MFA degree in 2004 at the University of Minnesota. She received BFA in 1990 from the Kiev Fine Arts College, Kiev, Ukraine. Over the past twelve years Dikareva has exhibited both in the US and abroad, and has been selected for artist residencies and scholarships.

I love to travel, to meet new people and learn about their culture, and to explore new places. This sculpture is dedicated to journeys. The boat on top of the wave symbolizes journeys we have in our lives. The contemplative look of the figure in the boat suggests the observation but at the same time participation in those journeys. The four birds are positioned in four different directions are like the wind rose, representing the four sides of the World.
