Helter Swelter

Like cooking and music, art should have all the ingredients in proper harmony to create a visual flavor the eye wants to taste more. A successfull piece causes one to look closer and linger longer.

Figure of a lost soul exiting earth. Created by welding one wire at a time from top to bottom until a face is realized. The lips form inward and continue to become the pathway to heaven from earth as a lost soul exits life on earth as a result of death by consequence of global warming. The pathway continues on earth to demonstate the progression of global warming. No form could possibly be used. It was made one wire at a time. This piece won fifth place in the Upper Peninsula wide juried art competition at Northern Exposure XIV at the William Bonifas Fine Arts Center in Escanaba, MI.
