My abstractions come from seeing the world intimately, as if looking through a magnifying glass.  Details are seen as compositions with intensity of color and simplicity of form.  The Abstract Expressionists have had a great influence on my style.  Clay Monotype is a painterly form of printmaking that uses liquid clay slip as the ink, printed onto a non-woven fabric substrate.  Historical layers of slip are transferred from a leather hard slab of clay onto the fabric with a wooden roller.  Each print is archival and one of kind.
