While creating art using the heart symbol, I was alternately
delighted and dismayed. So much emotion in one icon.
What does the heart symbol mean?
To me it is everything love can be: passionate, distressing,
elating, or comforting. Developing a body of work that
represents this complexity was the challenge I took to heart.
