A self-guided open studio tour of more than 100 professional artists. Visitors have the opportunity to meet and talk with some of the area's best artists and purchase directly from them. Maps with photos of artists' work are available at the Center for the Arts and other locations; maps are also available on the event's Web site. A preview exhibit at the gallery will be on view 5/19– 6/11; hours are Mon.–Fri. 10 a.m.–5 p.m., and weekends 1–4 p.m. Preview hours are extended on the two weekends of the tour to 10 a.m–5 p.m.

Charming and laid-back San Anselmo hosts its perennially popular juried art festival, with more than 200 artists offering a wide variety of handmade-only work.
